With over 50 years of experience, we are international leaders in the hairdressing industry, setting new standards for hairdressers and making exceptional education available globally. TONI&GUY has established a worldwide presence leading the hairdressing industry in education, innovation, and artistic excellence.

Our Story

TONI&GUY was founded by second generation hairdressers and brothers, Toni, Guy, Bruno and Anthony Mascolo in 1963. Their father Franco was an entrepreneurial hairdresser and salon owner who moved his family to London. It was there that the brothers followed in their father’s footsteps and opened up the first TONI&GUY in the South of London.

After 20 years establishing the TONI&GUY name throughout Europe, TONI&GUY took North America by storm and in 1985 opened the first TONI&GUY salon in Dallas, Texas. From there they launched the TIGI product line. Five years later, in 1990, they opened the first TONI&GUY hairdressing academy—a natural extension to the TONI&GUY foundation of education and on-going training.

From the South of Italy to the South of London, the Mascolo family has been a standout in the beauty industry because of its ability to bridge the gap between fashion and hairdressing, between cutting-edge and commercial viability and because of the solid philosophy that each client should be treated as an individual. No matter what the trends are, each hairstyle given should be personalized to suit the client.

Our Mission to Educate

Our mission remains consistent–to offer a higher education in hairdressing. TONI&GUY is dedicated to delivering legendary education to all of our students. Specific to our cosmetology students, our mission is to raise the bar by offering higher education in hairdressing. We push the boundaries of hairdressing education, delivering quality, creativity and consistency to every student, along with our Spotlight™ Experience Culture.

To continue the time-honored tradition of innovation, the son of Guy Mascolo and Creative Director of The Americas, Zak Mascolo and the TONI&GUY Artistic Team launches an annual collection of the latest cut and colour techniques to inspire the artistry of students and hairdressers alike while being able to satisfy the needs of their clients.

Annual Collections

Each year, many in the hairdressing industry anticipate the launch of the TONI&GUY collection. The collection consists of a grand reveal and a live demonstration of the collection looks at the annual Creative Release as well as a published book with bonus videos filled with step-by-step cut and colour instructions by Zak Mascolo and the TONI&GUY Artistic Team. Each year they create a concept for a new collection that infuses the year’s hottest trends and most innovative cut and color techniques with ready-to-wear looks that are viable for serving the everyday client.
